Two residents escaped unharmed after a fire broke out at a condo on the 1800 block of Chaucer Drive in Sycamore Township on Saturday, Aug. 29.

The Sycamore Township Fire Department dispatched crews at approximately 10:36 p.m. after flames were visible on the first floor of the residence, WLWT reported. Firefighters extinguished the blaze quickly after arriving on scene. Both residents who lived in the unit got out safely.

The fire did not spread to neighboring condos, and no damage was found to surrounding units, according to WLWT's report.

Crews from the Amberley, Roselawn and Reading fire departments assisted Sycamore Township at the scene.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation, WLWT reported. No timeline for a determination has been announced.
