Sycamore Township's 16th Annual Car Show takes over the Robert L. Schuler Sports Complex on Saturday, Aug. 29, with free admission, six award categories and two food vendors serving up lunch on Deerfield Road.
The show was originally set for Aug. 1 but was pushed back four weeks because of forecasted storms. The township confirmed the new date on its official website, noting the time and location remain unchanged.
Spectators get in free.
What to know
The family-friendly show runs noon to 3 p.m. at 11532 Deerfield Road. Owners who want to enter a vehicle can register from 9 a.m. to noon for $15 per entry.
Awards will be handed out at 3:30 p.m. in six categories: Best Import, Best Engine, Best Jeep, Best Paint, Best of Show and Trustees' Choice. Door prizes from KOI Auto Parts and DTI Professional Auto Detailing will also be up for grabs throughout the afternoon.
On Air Entertainment provides the music. Cheesy Street Stacks & Melts and Granny's Goodies on the Go will sell food and beverages on site.
A look back
At the 2024 edition, Don Budke took Best of Show with his 1963 Studebaker, while Terry Boub earned the Trustees' Choice award for his 1955 Chevy Belair. Township trustees Tracy Kellums, Tom Weidman and Tracy Schwegmann presented both trophies that year.
The show has grown into one of the township's signature summer events over its 16-year run, drawing classic car owners and families from across the east side.
