Aaron Johnson's Subaru WRX STI took Best of Show at Sycamore Township's 16th Annual Car Show on Saturday, Aug. 29.

Trustees Tracy Schwegmann and Tom Weidman presented awards across 11 categories at the Robert L. Schuler Sports Complex, 11532 Deerfield Road, according to the township's car show results page. The free, family-friendly show drew entries ranging from classic muscle cars to imports, with vehicles on display from noon to 3 p.m. and awards handed out at 3:30 p.m.

Johnson was photographed with Schwegmann and Weidman after claiming the top prize.

Steve Locher earned the Trustees' Choice Award for his 1969 Jaguar F Type 4.2. The two trustees presented the award.

The full roster of category winners included Dave Morrison for Best Ford with a Ford Mustang, Mike White for Best GM with a Chevrolet Corvette, Mark Ernst for Best Mopar with a Plymouth Coupe and Bob Cox for Best Jeep with a Jeep CJ7. Marving Gnoreth won Best Truck with a Chevrolet Pickup, and Pam Swift took Best Street Rod with a Ford Custom.

Jay Johnson won Best Engine with a Chevrolet Sedan, Mark Morgan claimed Best Paint with a Ford Mustang and Stolly's Sneaker Spa won Best Import with a Honda.

The show was originally scheduled for Aug. 1 but moved to Aug. 29 because of forecasted bad weather. Registration cost $15 per entry. On Air Entertainment provided music, and food trucks Cheesy Street Stacks & Melts and Jet Creamery served the crowd. KOI Auto Parts and DTI Professional Auto Detailing donated door prizes.
