The Madeira Historical Society is selling a 28-page pictorial calendar packed with historic photos of the city, and at $10 a copy, it doubles as a low-cost way to support the 54-year-old nonprofit.

The limited-edition 2026 calendar features historic Madeira photographs with informative captions. Residents can pick one up at the society's home base, the Miller House Museum, 7226 Miami Ave. Buyers should call 513-561-9069 first to confirm someone is on site. For those who prefer delivery, the society will mail a copy for $14.

New members get the calendar free with their membership.

Orders can also be placed by email at [email protected]. Checks should be made payable to Madeira Historical Society and mailed to 7226 Miami Ave., Madeira, OH 45243.

The society previously sold calendars at the Madeira Art Fair on Laurel Avenue in spring 2026, alongside jewelry, books and American flags.

Where the money goes

The calendar sale helps fund the society's year-round preservation work. According to the organization's June 2026 newsletter, the society spends roughly $30,000 each year maintaining the Miller House Museum and running programs on its grounds.

"Members are at the Miller House every week working on behalf of the society and the Madeira Community," president Douglas Oppenheimer wrote in a May 28 letter to members. "You would be surprised if you knew how much work goes on at your museum and how varied the work is."

Kathy Laumann was named the museum's next director earlier this year.

Community calendar

Friday, Aug. 28. Mariemont Theatre soft opening under new management by Cindependent, the local film organization. A grand reopening gala follows Wednesday, Sept. 16, with food stations, a 12-piece 1930s band and street performers around the Mariemont Fountain and Lawn.
