Indian Hill Schools will host a free evening session on Thursday, Oct. 1, exploring how the district uses technology and artificial intelligence in its classrooms.

The district announced the event, titled "Learning with Purpose," on its X account Monday, Aug. 31, describing it as an exploration of technology and AI across the district's four schools. The session falls under Indian Hill's #IHPromise strategic plan. A start time, location and agenda have not been released.

The evening comes as Indian Hill has deepened its investment in AI-related learning across schools that serve about 2,222 students.

High school student Hannah Joseph earned the 2026 AI Next Generation Award at Cincy AI Week through the district's partnership with Cincinnati AI Catalyst, according to an Indian Hill Schools announcement. Joseph was recognized as an emerging leader through the Cincinnati AI Leadership Awards.

Sophomore Kyler Zheng completed a paid summer technology internship with the district's Innovation and Technology team from late May through late June, Living Magazines reported Aug. 18. During the internship, Zheng introduced Mark Richardson, the district's director of innovation and technology, to AI tools that could support his work.

"One of my favorite parts of this experience was having Kyler teach me … He showed me AI tools and ways of thinking about technology that gave me some new ideas for my own work," Richardson told Living Magazines in the August article.

The district also earned national recognition in May when the Consortium for School Networking, known as CoSN, awarded Indian Hill the Trusted Learning Environment Mini Seal for the Business Practice, recognizing its student data privacy efforts.

Indian Hill High School holds a STEM designation from the Ohio Department of Education. Superintendent Dr. Melissa Stewart leads the 2,222-student district.
