Indian Hill midfielder Carson Bahl has been named one of 30 5-Star recruits nationwide in the Class of 2028 by Inside Lacrosse and Nike Lacrosse.

Bahl is the only Ohio player on the list, according to Indian Hill Braves Athletics. The designation, awarded to just 2–5% of recruits nationally, places her among the top high school women's lacrosse players in the country.

She is a junior-to-be.

The announcement, written by Indian Hill girls lacrosse coach Russell Mackey and published Aug. 26, lands days before a key recruiting milestone. NCAA Division I coaches can begin direct contact with Class of 2028 prospects at noon ET on Tuesday, Sept. 1. That includes phone calls, emails, video chats and social media messages. Coaches can also extend verbal scholarship offers starting that date.

The 5-Star list serves as a precursor to Inside Lacrosse's full national class rankings, which will be released later. The Class of 2026's final rankings included 40 five-star players out of 100 ranked recruits, according to Inside Lacrosse. Inside Lacrosse describes the Class of 2028 list as a "first wave," suggesting additional players could be added.

Beyond her varsity role at Indian Hill, Bahl competes at the club level with LI Legacy, a program based in Long Island, New York. Athletic director Brian Phelps retweeted the announcement from the school's AD account on Aug. 26.

NCAA Division I coaches can begin contacting Bahl directly starting Tuesday, Sept. 1, as she enters her junior season with the Braves.
