The Indian Hill Braves JV boys golf team opened the 2026-27 season with four events in four days, posting consistent invitational scores in the mid-350s before conference play begins later this month.
According to the team's JV schedule on indianhillbraves.org, the Braves shot a team score of 355 at the St. Xavier JV Invitational on Aug. 3 at Glenview Golf Course, with Holsinger leading the way at 82 over 18 holes. The next day at the Miamisburg Invitational at Pipestone Golf Course, Indian Hill matched that 355, this time led by Cass with a 92.
The lone dual match of the opening stretch came Aug. 5 at Grizzly Golf Course, where Milford topped the Braves 159-173 in a nine-hole format. Holsinger paced Indian Hill with a 42.
Indian Hill bounced back Aug. 6 at the Anderson Invitational at Reeves Golf Course, carding a 354 with Donley firing an 84 to lead the squad.
The early results show a JV group finding its footing within the boys golf program led by head coach Will Thomure, who has been at Indian Hill since 2022-23. Thomure guided the varsity squad to a 2025 Cincinnati Hills League championship and earned CHL Coach of the Year honors that season, according to his coach biography. The program made the OHSAA District Tournament in 2024 and 2025, and three of Thomure's players have gone on to compete collegiately.
That's the standard he's building toward at every level.
In his standing biography on the athletics site, Thomure wrote: "I hope every athlete remembers that they became a better person, teammate, and leader because they were part of our program."
The schedule picks up with the Springboro Invitational on Aug. 17 at Heatherwood Golf Course. Indian Hill then hosts Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy on Aug. 20 and Archbishop Moeller on Aug. 24 at 3:38 p.m. at Hickory Woods Golf Course.
The first CHL conference match pits the Braves against Madeira on Friday, Aug. 28 at 3:56 p.m. at Little Miami Golf Course. The Archbishop Moeller Invitational follows Aug. 29 at 11:30 a.m. at Hickory Woods, and a second Madeira match is set for Aug. 31 at 4:10 p.m. back at Little Miami. Additional CHL dates include Madeira on Sept. 15 and Wyoming on Sept. 16, both at 4 p.m. at Little Miami, with a Milford rematch on Sept. 30.
