Sycamore Township's free Yoga in the Park series wraps up with final sessions Saturday, Sept. 26, and Sunday, Sept. 27, at two township parks.
The Saturday class begins at 9 a.m. at Clete McDaniel Park, 11797 Old Solzman Road, near the playground. The Sunday class starts at 10 a.m. at Bechtold Park, 4312 Sycamore Road. Both sessions are free, and participants need to bring their own yoga mat.
Advance registration is required. Residents can sign up through NKO Yoga's schedule page.
The program is a partnership between Sycamore Township Parks and Recreation and NKO Yoga, a studio based in Deer Park and owned by yoga instructor Natasha Kohorst. According to the township's parks page, the weekly series launched in early May, with Saturday sessions at McDaniel Park beginning May 2 and Sunday sessions at Bechtold Park beginning May 3. That puts the season at nearly five months of free outdoor classes across the two locations.
Sycamore Township posted the final-weekend reminder on its X account Tuesday, Sept. 22. Sessions will be canceled in the event of severe weather.
Residents with questions about the program can contact Parks Supervisor Jason Petty at (513) 792-7269.
Sycamore Township has not announced whether the series will return in 2027.
