Ten Mariemont restaurants will set up on the median west of the Village Square on Monday, Aug. 31, for the return of Taste of Mariemont, the annual food-and-music gathering hosted by the Mariemont Preservation Foundation.

The event runs from 4:30 to 7 p.m. There is no admission charge; food is available for individual purchase from each vendor.

Who's serving

Boards & Beez, Dilly, Emery, Graeter's Ice Cream, Jersey Mike's Subs, LaRosa's Pizzeria, Mango Tree Thai & Sushi, National Exemplar, Quarter Bistro and Sweeterie will all sell food. Mariemont Boy Scouts Troop 149 will offer roasted corn-on-the-cob, and the Preservation Foundation itself will hand out popcorn and cotton candy.

Music and activities

Jon Aiken performs live, presented by National Exemplar. For kids, Village Church of Mariemont is running Musical Mats, and Mariemont Players at Walton Creek Theatre will handle face painting. Temporary tattoos and interactive booths from local organizations round out the family lineup.

Town Crier Bob Keyes will make a special appearance.

A long-running tradition in a newer spot

The event has been held for more than 15 years, with editions documented as far back as 2010, according to the foundation's website. It moved to the Village Square median in 2025 after previously being held at the Concourse. This year's edition starts 30 minutes earlier than last year's 5 p.m. kickoff, though it keeps the same two-and-a-half-hour window.

The lineup is unchanged from 2025: the same 10 restaurants, the same performer and the same civic organizations return, a sign of format stability for what the foundation called a longstanding gift of tradition to the village in its August 2025 announcement.
