Sycamore Community Schools is inviting alumni and Greater Cincinnati business professionals to meet students over breakfast at Sycamore High School on Thursday, Oct. 8.

The district's first "Aviators & Innovators: An Alumni & Business Breakfast" runs from 8 to 9:30 a.m. at the high school, 7400 Cornell Road in Sycamore Township. Registration closes Monday, Sept. 28.

The district said it created the event to expose students to a variety of career paths. Guests will hear updates on district programs, talk with students about their industries and network with other attendees. Breakfast is included.

An optional tour of the high school follows at 9:30 a.m.

Guests are welcome to bring a colleague.

The breakfast is open to anyone with a professional connection to the area, whether they graduated from Sycamore, run a business in the community or work elsewhere in Greater Cincinnati. The district promoted the event on Instagram on Thursday, Sept. 17, and on Facebook.

A Facebook post from the district also mentioned that registrants can indicate interest in hosting an "Experienceship," though the district has not publicly defined the term.

Sycamore High School serves about 1,678 students in grades 9 through 12. The district is also part of the CommunityShare network, which pairs educators with community partners for real-world learning projects, according to the district's website.

To register, visit sycamoreschools.org before Sept. 28. The district said additional details will be emailed to registered guests closer to the event.
