Madeira's boys soccer team shut out Indian Hill 6-0 in a Cincinnati Hills League conference match Tuesday, Oct. 6, at Madeira High School.
The six-goal margin marked the widest gap in a night of head-to-head CHL action between the two schools. No goal scorers were listed in either program's results.
Indian Hill's next boys soccer conference game is Oct. 13 at 7 p.m. against Deer Park at Indian Hill High School's Shawnee Field.
Volleyball: Mustangs take varsity, Braves win JV
Madeira's varsity girls volleyball team beat Indian Hill 3-1 on Oct. 6 at Indian Hill High School. Set scores were 25-18, 19-25, 23-25 and 14-25, according to Indian Hill's athletics calendar.
The Braves' JV squad flipped the script. Indian Hill swept Madeira 2-0 with set scores of 25-20 and 25-17.
The two programs meet again Oct. 15 at 6:30 p.m. at Madeira High School.
Middle school volleyball: Braves sweep Mariemont
Indian Hill's middle school volleyball teams both beat Mariemont High School on Oct. 6.
The eighth-grade squad swept 2-0 (25-9, 25-21). The seventh-graders needed three sets, winning 2-1 (25-17, 20-25, 25-18).
Golf: Cozzi and Smith lead middle schoolers past Loveland
Indian Hill's middle school boys golf team beat Loveland 134-142 at Little Miami Golf Course on Oct. 6. Cozzi and Smith each shot 34 to pace the Braves.
Girls golf: Braves compete at OHSAA districts
Indian Hill's varsity girls golf team competed in the OHSAA Division I District Tournament at Heatherwoode Golf Club on Oct. 6. Kate Roudabush had qualified after shooting an 80 at the sectional tournament Sept. 15 at Walden Ponds Golf Course, finishing sixth.
Sycamore won the district team title with a 323, led by freshman Savanna Blackmore, who shot a 71 to earn medalist honors, Yahoo Sports reported. Lakota East placed second at 329 and Anderson third at 338. Indian Hill's team score was not listed among published results.
The OHSAA Division I state tournament is scheduled for Oct. 12-13 at NCR Country Club. Whether any Indian Hill golfer advanced has not been confirmed.
