Indian Hill residents can now nominate alumni, educators and community members for the Arts Conservatory Hall of Fame Class of 2027.

The Indian Hill School District opened nominations Thursday, Sept. 24, for the second year of the program, which honors people whose work in the arts has left a mark on the district and beyond. Nomination details are available on the district's website.

Amy Clark, the district's arts and activities director, urged the community to put names forward on X on Wednesday, Sept. 23: "Know a deserving artist, alum, educator, or community member? Nominate them today!"

Nominations span all artistic disciplines, including performing, visual and digital arts, theatre and technical arts, dance, music and media. The deadline to submit is Friday, Nov. 6.

Nominees are considered in three categories:

  • Rising Star Award: For alumni who graduated within the past 10 years and have shown early-career promise in the arts.
  • Distinguished Art Alumni Award: For alumni who graduated 20 or more years ago and have built a career or made lasting contributions in the arts.
  • Legacy Art Award: For an alumnus, educator or community member whose lifetime of work has made an outstanding impact.

The district launched the Hall of Fame earlier this year. The inaugural class, honored at a March 8 ceremony at Indian Hill High School's Sue Harder Memorial Performing Arts Center, included Sailor Betts (Class of 2020, Rising Star), Norikazu "Tom" Tsuchiya (Class of 1990, Distinguished Art Alumni) and longtime educator Steve Strider (Legacy Art). According to board minutes, the ceremony drew a packed audience during the school's Cabaret concert.

The Class of 2027 inductees will be celebrated at a special induction event on Saturday, April 17, 2027.
