The Indian Hill Braves boys golf team won the Cincinnati Hills League championship Monday, Sept. 14, at The Mill Course, according to the team's official announcement.

The win marks a second straight CHL championship for head coach Will Thomure's program. Indian Hill also won the league title in 2025, a season in which Thomure earned CHL Coach of the Year honors.

The school's athletic department posted a team photo on X after the morning round to celebrate the title.

The Braves entered the championship on a strong run through conference play. On Friday, Sept. 11, Indian Hill shot 148 to beat Reading (185) at Little Miami Golf Course. In an Aug. 17 tri-match at Camargo Country Club, the Braves posted 158 to top Mariemont (166) and Madeira (171). Jacob Lewis led that day with a 38.

The season hasn't been without bumps. Wyoming edged Indian Hill 124–143 in a Tuesday, Sept. 8, conference match at Tri-County Golf Ranch. The Braves also finished fourth at the CHL Preview on Aug. 10 with a team score of 335 at The Mill Course. Gabriel Kohn paced Indian Hill that day with a 77.

They recovered.

Lewis and junior Jack Conn have been consistent performers throughout the fall. Both shot 79 at the Tilton Invitational on Aug. 29 at The Mill Course, where Indian Hill finished sixth with a 320. Sophomore Bennett Coburn is also on the varsity roster this season.

Thomure, a Springfield, Ohio, native, joined Indian Hill in the 2022–2023 school year after two years as head boys golf coach at Oakwood. His program has made OHSAA District Tournament appearances in 2024 and 2025.

The championship sets up a postseason run that begins Tuesday, Sept. 22, with the OHSAA Sectional Tournament at The Mill Course. The District Tournament follows Sept. 30 at Pipestone Golf Course. The State Tournament is set for Oct. 12 at NCR Country Club.

Before the postseason begins, Indian Hill hosts Senior Night on Sept. 28 against Oakwood at Camargo Country Club.
