Democratic incumbent Greg Landsman is seeking reelection to Ohio’s 1st Congressional District in the Nov. 3, 2026, general election.
The Hamilton County Board of Elections’ current certified list names Landsman, Republican Eric Conroy and Libertarian Nathan Weise. Earlier Libertarian candidate John Hancock no longer appears on the ballot.
Experience
His campaign biography describes his work as a public-school teacher, Cincinnati City Council member, education advocate and director of Gov. Ted Strickland’s faith-based initiatives office. It says he studied economics and political science at Ohio University and earned a Harvard theology master’s degree.
Landsman was elected to Congress in 2022. His current congressional committee page lists Energy and Commerce, including its Health, Communications and Technology, and Environment subcommittees.
On the issues
His current campaign platform supports lower prescription and insulin costs, protection of the Affordable Care Act and stronger scrutiny of insurance companies and pharmacy benefit managers.
He favors higher wages, labor organizing, job training, childcare investment, more public-school funding, better teacher pay and affordable college and technical education.
He supports federal abortion-rights protections, access to contraception and IVF, universal background checks, red-flag laws, firearm age restrictions and an assault-weapons ban.
His platform also emphasizes infrastructure investment, police and firefighter recruitment, stronger voting-rights protections, independent redistricting, clean air and water, renewable energy and equal treatment for LGBTQ people.
On foreign policy, he supports Ukraine and Israel’s defense and a negotiated two-state solution in the Middle East.
Correction: Earlier versions named Hancock as an opponent and included former committee assignments. The race and committee descriptions now follow current official records.
