Five Indian Hill High School musicians earned spots in the Ohio Music Education Association (OMEA) All-State Ensembles, a statewide honor spanning choir, band and orchestra.

Three students were selected for full All-State positions, according to the Indian Hill Arts Conservatory: Elsa Neidich, soprano, All-State Choir; Claire Reeuwijk, soprano, All-State Choir; and Darcy McMahon, double bass, All-State Band. Two more were named alternates: Jonathan McGrath, double bass, All-State Orchestra; and Ella Kim, piano, All-State Band.

The five were chosen through a competitive application and audition process open to students in grades 9–12 who are members of their school's performing ensemble. OMEA describes the All-State Ensembles as one of the top honors for high school musicians in Ohio.

"To have students recognized across these three disciplines of choir, band, and orchestra is something worth celebrating," Amy Clark, director of the Indian Hill Arts Conservatory, said. "These students have invested tremendous time and energy into developing their musicianship, and this recognition reflects that commitment."

The honorees will rehearse and perform with student musicians from across Ohio at the Greater Columbus Convention Center in late January 2027.

The participation fee is $225 per student.

Two of the five are building on a busy fall. McMahon also earned a seat in the Cincinnati Symphony Youth Orchestra (CSYO) Concert Orchestra for the 2026–2027 season. McGrath landed a spot in the CSYO Philharmonic Orchestra. Those placements were announced Sept. 9.

Indian Hill High School enrolls 660 students in grades 9–12. Applications for the All-State process opened in April, with a May 31 deadline. Results went out to students and directors on Aug. 31, and acceptance forms were due Sept. 30.
