A proposed development at 7701 Kenwood Road, the site of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, goes before Sycamore Township trustees on Tuesday, in a public hearing that precedes the board's first regular meeting since the township declared a storm damage emergency.
The hearing begins at 5:30 p.m. at the Township Administration Building, 8540 Kenwood Road. The regular trustee meeting follows at 6:00 p.m. Both sessions are open to the public.
What's on the table
Zoning Case ZC-2026-7 asks the board to approve a Planned Unit Development Type II (PUD II) designation for the church property. Josh Shaw of The Kleingers Group, LLC filed the application, according to township zoning records. A PUD II allows large-scale, mixed-use development where at least one component must be regional in nature.
Township documents do not specify what type of development is proposed — residential, commercial, or a mix. Submittal documents are available for public review on the township's Zoning Commission page at sycamoretownship.org or in person at the administration building during business hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Storm recovery likely on the agenda
The full meeting agenda was not available for review at press time, but storm-recovery updates are a likely topic. Sycamore Township declared a storm damage emergency on Sunday after storms struck Friday through Saturday.
Tuesday's trustee meeting is the first scheduled session since the emergency declaration. Residents can check sycamoretownship.org for agenda updates.

Property owners within 200 feet of 7701 Kenwood Road received mailed hearing notices, as required by law. Any resident may attend and speak during the public hearing or submit written comments to the Planning & Zoning Department at 8540 Kenwood Road, Sycamore Township, OH 45236.
