Sycamore Township residents who want a say in the future of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church property at 7701 Kenwood Road have another chance to weigh in. The Board of Trustees will hold a public hearing on August 11, at 5:30 p.m. at the Township Administration Building, 8540 Kenwood Road.

The hearing covers Zoning Case ZC-2026-7, a request to rezone the church site to Planned Unit Development Type II. A PUD II designation allows large-scale, mixed-use development where at least part of the project must serve a regional audience.

Josh Shaw of The Kleingers Group, LLC filed the application, according to township zoning records.

This is the third scheduled hearing on the same case. The trustees first heard it June 16, then again July 21. The township's event page lists the August 11 hearing as a continuation of those earlier sessions, though the board has not published minutes or a formal outcome from the July 21 hearing.

No development plan has been made public.

Township documents identify only the PUD II request. Whether the proposed project is residential, commercial, or a combination has not been disclosed.

A regular trustee meeting follows at 6:00 p.m. the same evening. The board typically meets the first and third Tuesdays of each month at 6:00 p.m., with exceptions in April, August, and November, according to the township's posted schedule.

The township posted the hearing notice on its official social media accounts July 24, linking to the Zoning Commission page. According to township records, property owners within 200 feet of 7701 Kenwood Road received mailed notices as required by Ohio law.

Any resident may attend and speak during the hearing. Written comments can be submitted to the Planning & Zoning Department at 8540 Kenwood Road, Sycamore Township, OH 45236. Case documents are available online at sycamoretownship.org or in person at the administration building Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
