Sycamore Township residents can drop off tree trimmings and brush for free chipping Saturday, Oct. 3, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. behind the Township Administration Building at 8540 Kenwood Road.
Township maintenance crews will help unload and chip the material on site, according to the township's event listing. The trimmings are recycled into wood chips and mulch.
The program runs the first Saturday of each month, April through December, and skips holiday weekends. Two sessions remain after Oct. 3: Nov. 7 and Dec. 5.
Residents who need brush removed outside the monthly schedule can request curbside pickup from the Maintenance Department for $50 by calling 513-791-8447 or submitting an online service request through the township website.
Curbside leaf collection begins Oct. 13 and runs through Dec. 14, according to the township's maintenance page. Leaves placed at the curb during that window are picked up without bagging.
