The Phantom Regiment drum and bugle corps rolled into Indian Hill on July 27, and opened its rehearsal at Tomahawk Stadium to the public at no charge.

The Rockford, Illinois-based corps used the stadium as a warm-up site before competing that same evening at the Drum Corps International Summer Music Games in Cincinnati, held at Dwire Field in Mason. Indian Hill Schools shared video of the performance on social media, describing the corps as legendary and noting it was preparing for one of the biggest drum corps competitions of the summer.

A storied corps on a neighborhood field

Phantom Regiment is no ordinary marching ensemble. Founded in 1956, the corps has been a fixture in DCI's elite Top 12 since 1974 and has won two World Championship titles, in 1996 and 2008, according to DCI records. The corps' 2026 summer tour includes more than 75 events across more than 30 states, building toward the DCI World Championships scheduled for August 3 through August 8 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

Indian Hill Schools announced the free rehearsal on Friday, July 24, inviting families and music fans to watch the corps prepare. The district highlighted the no-cost access on its official social media account.
