The Indian Hill Board of Education celebrated state tennis champions Gareth Kurowski and Neelan Gandhi on Tuesday, Aug. 11, formally recognizing the duo's 2026 OHSAA Division II State Doubles Championship at the board's regularly scheduled meeting.

The ceremony, held at 6:30 p.m. in the Community Room of the District Office at 6855 Drake Road, also honored head coach Michael Piergalski and assistant coaches Adam Wolter and Brian Schubert. Indian Hill Schools confirmed the celebration on X that evening, congratulating players and coaches on the title.

Kurowski and Gandhi clinched the state doubles crown on May 29 at the Lindner Family Tennis Center in Mason, the same facility that hosts professional ATP events. According to the district's championship announcement, the Braves sent multiple doubles teams to the state tournament that week, including the pairs of Vendant Buch and Will Jordan and Yousef Moussa and Jeremy Starczynowski.

In the district's May 29 announcement, Indian Hill director of alumni and community advancement Brian Phelps called the championship "an extraordinary accomplishment and a reflection of countless hours of discipline and teamwork," adding that the doubles champions "represented Indian Hill with class, determination, and competitive excellence throughout the tournament."

Indian Hill High School Principal Andy Gruber said in the same announcement that Kurowski and Gandhi "demonstrated the dedication, resilience, and character that define Indian Hill Braves."

The state title adds to a strong stretch for Indian Hill athletics. As we reported Aug. 4, the program earned the OIAAA Bruce Brown Award of Excellence, one of only 10 Ohio schools recognized for outstanding education-based athletics in 2026.

The next regularly scheduled Indian Hill Board of Education meeting is Sept. 15.
