Hamilton County voters have until Monday, Oct. 5, to register or update their registration for the Tuesday, Nov. 3, general election.
The deadline applies to new registrations and to anyone who has moved or changed their name since the last election. The Hamilton County Board of Elections said its office at 4700 Smith Rd. in Cincinnati will stay open until 9 p.m. Monday to accept paper forms. Online registration at olvr.ohiosos.gov remains open until 11:59 p.m.
Residents can also drop off forms at any Bureau of Motor Vehicles office, any municipal building or any branch of the Cincinnati & Hamilton County Public Library, according to the League of Women Voters of the Cincinnati Area. Library branches in Madeira and Mariemont will accept forms until close of business Monday, according to the library system's voting guide.
What's on the ballot
Terrace Park and Madeira voters face specific local questions on the Nov. 3 ballot, alongside statewide races and countywide measures that affect all Hamilton County voters.
Terrace Park residents will vote on a renewal of the village's 5.58-mill operating levy. The levy generates $713,000 a year for police, fire, EMS, streets, sidewalks and village administration. It represents about 30% of the village's operating budget, according to village documents. The renewal would cost homeowners $123 per $100,000 of assessed property value for five years. Village Council placed the levy on the ballot July 6.
Madeira voters will decide on proposed amendments to the city charter. Madeira City Council approved Ordinance No. 26-05 on July 13, directing the Board of Elections to put the charter modernization question before voters, according to council records.
Countywide, the Hamilton County Job and Family Services Children's Services Levy is also on the ballot, along with levies in six school districts, according to the Cincinnati & Hamilton County Public Library's voting guide.
Statewide, Ohio Issue 3 asks whether to add current voter ID requirements to the state constitution. The U.S. Senate race pits Sen. Jon Husted, a Republican appointed to the seat in 2025, against Democrat Sherrod Brown. Republican Vivek Ramaswamy and Democrat Amy Acton are running for governor to succeed term-limited Gov. Mike DeWine, as WLWT reported.
