Indian Hill shut out Taylor 45-0 in the Braves' Homecoming game Friday, Sept. 25, at Tomahawk Stadium, according to the Braves' athletics site.

The Cincinnati Hills League conference win pushed Indian Hill to 4-2 overall and 2-1 in league play, extending the Braves' winning streak to two games.

The defense held Taylor scoreless.

The 45-point margin was the largest of the season for head coach John Rodenberg's squad. Indian Hill opened 2026 with a 35-14 road win at Roger Bacon on Aug. 21, then beat New Richmond 56-14 on Sept. 4 before a 47-48 loss to Wyoming on Sept. 11. The Braves rebounded with a 48-7 win at Mariemont on Sept. 18 and followed it with the Homecoming shutout. One additional game's result was not confirmed in available records.

Individual statistics from the Taylor game were not available as of publication.

The Braves entered the season with high expectations after going 13-1 in 2025 and reaching the Division IV state semifinals. Indian Hill moved up to Division III for 2026, as WCPO reported in July.

Senior quarterback Devlan Daniel, a second-year starter who threw for 1,192 yards and 13 touchdowns and rushed for 1,116 yards and 21 touchdowns in 2025, leads the offense. Daniel is verbally committed to Mississippi State for baseball.

"Everyone wants to be here … Everyone wants to compete. We all have the same goal," Daniel said in July during preseason camp. "Go win a state championship and I don't think that thought process has wavered from anyone's mind."

Junior tailback Jacob Alexander, who rushed for 674 yards and seven touchdowns last season, gives Indian Hill a second weapon in the backfield. Rodenberg said in July that Alexander was "poised to do some really great things because people will focus on Devlan and that can make Jacob even better."

On defense, junior linebackers Topher Wachtel and Joey Jernigan each recorded 83 tackles in 2025 as first-year starters. Senior defensive back Dylan Hartman earned Division IV first-team all-state honors last season. The 2025 unit allowed an average of 161 total yards and 10 points per game.

Indian Hill travels to Finneytown on Friday, Oct. 2, for a 7 p.m. kickoff at McNulty Stadium. The Braves return home to Tomahawk Stadium on Oct. 9 to host Madeira and on Oct. 16 for Senior Night against Deer Park.
